Belt Ranks
Yellow Belt - The Yellow belt is a beginner rank that will introduce you to the fundamentals of Karate and will help you to achieve better physical conditioning.
Orange Belt - The Orange belt level begins to create and develop speed and power in your kicks and punches and teaches you to block and counter punch with amazing effectiveness.
Purple Belt - As a Purple Belt, you will begin to truly develop your free-style sparring. You will notice that your confidence will have increased by this time. You are now well on your way to becoming a Black Belt.
Blue Belt - This is the first intermediate rank in Karate. By this point in your training, you will notice a tremendous improvement in your confidence level and your physical abilities.
Green Belt - This is one of the most important points on your road to Black Belt. At this level you will make the transition from an intermediate to an advanced Martial Artist. You may be asked to become a S.W.A.T. ( Special Winning Attitude Team ) Member.
Brown Belt - At the Brown Belt level, your posture and body stance will express your newly found confidence. Your mental and emotional outlook is deepening and becoming more confident. In fact, both your hands and feet are becoming effective weapons. It takes the average person about 24 to 30 months to earn a Brown Belt.
Black Belt - Finally, The Black Belt is the ultimate achievement in rank. Having once reached this standard, you will have earned life-long benefits with quick reflexes, superb instincts, amazing power and speed. Most importantly, you will have developed a quiet confidence and the success skills necessary to meet life’s challenges and come out a winner. It takes the average person between 3 1/2 to 4 years to earn a Black Belt.
